DEVISED and directed by Pat Smith and Annette Dennis, HATS' summer show consisted of a selection of songs, sketches and narrations from the 1950s, writes Christine Williams.

'HATS off to the 50s' which ran for four performances at the HATS Theatre last week, (September 27 to 29) was Holsworthy Amateur Theatrical Society's Jubilee Celebration and tribute to HM the Queen.

The cast of 30 got the show off to a rousing start with songs from 'South Pacific,' one of four musicals to feature.

Act one concluded with the Ascot Gavotte from 'My Fair Lady' with the ladies resplendent in black and white dresses.
