Detailed plans are being drawn up and tenders are being invited for a two storey extension at the back of the theatre. On the ground floor there will be three new toilets and a props area and on the first floor more wardrobe space.

The next major production at the HATS theatre will be a comedy, 'Every Other Evening' by Francis Campaux to be presented for six performances in the second half of September. Ken Tyrrell, the producer, has already cast the play and rehearsals have started this week.

The 2010 pantomime will be 'Queen of Hearts' to be produced by Robert Painter and his daughter Amy who are looking for pianists to help out their regular pianist Polly. Please call Robert on 01409 253840.

Starting this week, on alternate Mondays at 7.30pm, throughout the summer, there will be Club Nights at the theatre with an opportunity to learn stage craft, including script readings, movement and character development. And fortnightly from next Monday at 7.30pm there will be informal sing-a-longs, just for fun. All are welcome to these events.
