THE sports and social committee of Camelford Conservative Club recently presented cheques to two local charities.
A cheque for £1,180 was presented to Sid Goodman, the chairman at Heartswell Camelford branch. Mrs Sally Moore, treasurer, Cancer Research UK Camelford committee, received the other cheque.
During the past 30 years the club has donated a total of £16,645.10 to Cancer Research UK Camelford committee with a small amount being donated to various other charities, as a result of their harvest auctions.
This year’s harvest auction raised a record amount. The club expressed thanks to local businesses and to everyone who supported the auction.
