"I'M OVERWHEL­MED!" Those were the words of Ralph James of Hartland at the response from local people in support of a fresh-water project in Africa.

Mr James and his wife, Lorna, had read about the Kenya Well Being Fresh Water Project in the March edition of Together, the magazine for the Bude & Holsworthy Methodist Circuit — and "we decided to do our bit to help.

"We held a coffee morning at Hartland Methodist Church, to which many people came and supported us in true Hartland style."
