HOLSWORTHY Community College has presented a cheque to North Devon Hospice for the Long House Appeal — from funds raised at the Colour-Me-Happy event in October.
Many staff and students from the college joined in with the fun family day, walking running and skipping along the 3km route while getting enveloped by a rainbow of colour.
Students from the college also volunteered to help throw the paint at the participants of the charity event.
A Colour-Me-Happy Bake Off competition on October 1 at Holsworthy Community College, arranged by Mrs Cobbledick and Mrs Gliddon, raised more than £270.
Students and staff entered into this colourful event and the college was astounded at the number of entries —more than 30.
They were judged by the college’s very own Mary Berry (Mr Foster) and Paul Hollywood (Mrs Kennedy). Points were awarded for taste, appearance and technique.
The cakes were then sold off — either as whole, or per slice during break and lunchtime to the students.
