ALAN and Mary Hill happily celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary recently.

The couple were married on March 4, 1961 at Week St Mary Church, with the reception held at the village hall.

They honeymooned in London and returned to share a flat above Sandercock's Store, which is now the village store in Week St Mary.

The later moved to Sunnyside, Warbstow. Four years ago Alan suffered a stroke following a heart attack. He had to finish work and they moved to Anvil Court, Camelford, in 2008, where they have been very happy since.
