MORE than 200 poppies have been made by local people and given to Arthur W Bryant Funeral Service, who will be collecting donations for the Poppy Appeal.
For a donation people can obtain one of the beautiful handmade poppies from the Arthur W Bryant Funeral Service’s offices in Camelford, Holsworthy or Bude.
The 2017 Poppy Appeal launches today (Thursday) and runs until Armistice Day, November 11. Remembrance Sunday falls on November 12.
William Bryant was thrilled with the response to their call for people to create the poppies. He said: “We have had a lot, over 200 poppies. Some by local knitting clubs, some by individuals themselves doing it at home. It’s been a fantastic response to the adverts. We are really pleased and really happy. Hopefully people will come in and give a donation at one of our three offices around Camelford, Holsworthy or Bude.”
