MORE than 20 harvest hampers were delivered to residents in Delabole recently.

Organised by the Friends of Delabole School (FODS), the harvest boxes are made every year with donations from the parents and carers of children at Delabole School. The Friends’ PTA, a team of around eight to ten mums, put the harvest hampers together and deliver them to Delabolians.

Helen Ferguson, chair of FODS, said: “We deliver them to Delabolians who are suffering, whether it’s mentally or physically, they have lost a loved one or been diagnosed with an illness, the elderly — it’s a mixed bag of lovely folk.”

The harvest boxes are delivered by children from Delabole School, and this year the children presented more than 20 hampers to local residents.
