THE pupils of Halwill Primary School held their own Remembrance service on Friday, November 9.

During the term the children worked with Winsford Hospital, which has been taken on by the Landmark Trust.

Kasia Howard from the Landmark Trust helped each child make a poppy, which during the service they added to the wreaths. The Wren Music Trust taught the children war time songs that children of a similar age sang during the war.

Headteacher Mrs Ru Halford said: “I am very proud that the children at Halwill School remembered our fallen soldiers with such respect and compassion.

“We are very grateful to Landmark Trust and Wren Music Trust for supporting us in producing such a wonderful and moving 100 year anniversary Remembrance Service.”
