A PEAL of bells may be heard from St Breward village hall as Guiders tune up their skills in time for Christmas.
Every year the Guiding groups from the Camelford District get together for a carol service. Each group takes something to share along the lines of a pre-determined theme, which is chosen by the host group.
This year, Camelford Guides are hosting the event and a service will take place at Lanteglos Church, celebrating a traditional Christmas.
St Breward Brownie leader Marilyn Pluess said: "St Breward Brownies thought it would be lovely to try and learn something on the handbells."
With the help of St Breward Handbell ringing captain Cathy Glaser, the Brownies have started learning a traditional carol, which they hope to perfect in time for the service.
Marilyn added: "The Brownies loved being shown how to play with practice pieces and are grateful to Cathy for her time and enthusiasm."
