THE Macmillan Cancer Support Launceston fundraising group were pleased to raise over £80 at the Victorian Market in Launceston on Saturday.

The group had a stall at the Victorian Market in Launceston on June 29, creating a human fruit machine in order to raise funds for the charity.

Sarah Mulvaney, chairperson of the group, said: “We all thoroughly enjoyed the market and would definitely do it again. Everyone who had a go on our human fruit machine all thought it was a good idea and lots of people had never seen anything like it before. We had lots of positive comments about Macmillan and how they have helped with cancer support.

“We raised £88.51 on the day and would like to thank everyone who supported us.”
