THE Macular Group of Bude and Holsworthy, together with the Bideford Group, celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Macular Society at the beautiful gardens of Sue and Peter Wright at Eastcott on Monday, June 19. The hosts kindly provided everyone with delicious cream teas and a variety of tasty cakes. The Macular Society’s development officer for the South West, Judy Pride, was also invited to attend to represent the Macular Society. She also provided a celebration cake, which was cut by the group’s most senior member, Peggy Evans. The group provides help and company for anyone suffering from poor vision.
