PLANS to develop land off Hurdon Way, Launceston, with 207 homes, have been approved by the Cornwall Council East Sub Planning Committee.
Concerns over road safety issues had been raised by members of the public and Launceston Town Council, and a site meeting was held prior to the decision being made.
Many local residents said they were not against the new homes being developed, but they urged the council to look closer at the road safety issues.
However, the committee voted in favour of approving the application, at their recent meeting, which was held in Liskeard.
