A SPRING fete, held on the lawn of Churchtown Farm, Otterham, raised £462 for ongoing church projects.

The project includes work to the vestry and pointing in the tower as well as an outdoor composter toilet.

Sarah Northcott explained that the day was a great success, with over 100 people attending.

“We had lots of kiddies games, water or wine, tombola and a barbecue. There was plenty of seating and lots of people from Otterham school and the community attended. We’re trying to do things that involve the community. It’s basically to keep our church going.”

Sarah was delighted with how the event went and added: “Thank you to everybody for coming along and for all the local support of our community. It was just really lovely, we were just so pleased. Everyone has been asking when our next event will be.”

A summer fete will be held next month.
