THE Granville Lodge in Bude has made a generous donation to Bude Food Bank.

Following an appeal by the Master of Granville Masonic Lodge, Graham Shepherd-Jones, the members collected a wide variety of groceries for donation to Bude Food Bank. The lodge had previously been associated with the organisation which is ably run by Sue Jarvis and her team of volunteers.

On Wednesday, December 11 Graham, accompanied by charity steward Peter Reeve, attended the food bank in Berries Avenue and the boxes of groceries were handed to the volunteers.

Sue explained that however large or small the donation, either financial or in the form of food, everything is gratefully received.

During December 2018 over 800 individuals received assistance in the Bude area and that figure was expected to rise this year.

Graham said he was very keen that support from the lodge should be ongoing and further collections would be made in 2020.
