THE carriage driving at Camelford Agricultural Show was a marvel to be seen, with three classes available for this year’s entries.
Nicky Buxton, a competitor at the show, was thrilled with the competition and show in general, despite the miserable weather in the morning.
Nicky said: “It was really good, but really wet – we got absolutely drenched.”
With the beautiful horses pulling the elegant carriages around the ring, crowds were marvelled by the traditional yet graceful performances by this year’s entries.
This year, there were three classes for the entries, which was a pleasant surprise for competitors.
Nicky continued: “It was great to have three classes this year, as there is usually only one class at local shows.”
Nicky, who has been attending and competing at the Camelford Show for six years now, won Best Whip and came second in the Private Drive with her horse Blackhill Peggy.
As well as the Camelford Show, Nicky has previously competed at the Launceston Agricultural Show in July, the Chagford Show on August 17, and will also be making an appearance at the upcoming Holsworthy Show on August 25.
Nicky added: “The show was absolutely brilliant, and I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
