THERE was a good attendance at Delabole War Memorial for a service and two minutes’ silence on Friday, November 11.
The number gathered at the memorial was swelled by children from Delabole Primary School.
The school laid a wreath and four pupils did a reading. The service was taken by Claire Salzman and Sue Wilcox.
On?Sunday, there was great support for the village’s Remembrance Day events.
The standards were carried by firefighter Shaun Edwards for the Royal British Legion and crew commander Clyde Ferguson for the Royal Naval Association.
Wreaths were laid on behalf of the Royal British Legion, Royal Naval Association, St Teath Parish Council, Cornwall?Council, Camelford Rotary Club.
Delabole RBL chairman Phil Carnon read the names of Delabole’s fallen.
This was followed by a parade through the village, led by Camelford Town Band. When the procession reached Medrose Methodist Chapel, a service was led by the Rev Brian Ede, Ms Julia Healy and the Rev Angela Cooper.
