THE Launceston-based firm View Property supported Pirate FM’s Toy Appeal for 2019.

The appeal which saw businesses all over Cornwall sign up, including nine in the Launceston area, sees donated toys from members of the public go to Children’s Hospice South West, which helps children with life limiting illnesses and their families, Ellie’s Haven which provides holidays for poorly children and Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity which gives gifts to children in hospital over the festive season.

Co-owners Will Inman and Martin Deacon said: “We’ve paid Pirate FM to support it and they give us a box, which is very full and already overflowing.”

Among the gifts received include Lego, soft toys, Playmobil, books, pen and pencils and even some very expensive Peppa Pig toys.

They added: “It’s gone very well and we’ve had lots of support. We like to make sure that we do our bit and support the local community.

“It’s the first time we’ve done it, but it’s something we’ll do annually from now on.

“Because we’ve had a very successful year, we’ve bought 200 selection boxes for the local community, which can be purchased from us.

“If we don’t get rid of them all then we’ll donate them to the Launceston Foodbank, who we work closely with.

“We’re also planning on going into town on the Saturday morning of December 14 to donate some of the selection boxes to children in the town.”
