DESPITE just two entries in this year’s Boscastle Raft Race, it was still hugely supported.

Organised by Tracey at the Cobwebb Inn, the day only saw two rafts enter for the main event, but 13 children entered for the inflatable race. In the raft race, first place went to Les’ Members from Tintagel Surf Life Saving Club while ‘Cleopatra and the Cavemen’ from the Cobwebb Inn came second. In the children’s race, first went to Ebony, followed by Jake in second place and Bodhi in third.

The event held a bucket collection, raising money for Tintagel Surf Club.

Tracey said: “Thanks to everybody who came along on the day — hopefully we’ll have more rafts in next year’s race!

“Thanks to everyone who helped out, especially Emma. Also a huge thanks to Morwenna and her ‘Star Makers’, to the samba band and to River Moor Coven.”
