ST Gennys and District Horticultural Society held its 88th annual show on Friday, July 27 at the Legion Hall.

There was the usual good standard in the vegetables, flowers, fruit, classes for cookery, needlework, small classes in the children’s work.

The day was dry. Chairman Mr R Heard welcomed everyone and then introduced the Rev Rob Dickenson, who opened the show. He was presented with a buttonhole by show president Mrs M A Folley.

Teas were served during the afternoon competitions, skittles, and St Gennys Silver Band played until the presentation of the trophies by the Rev Dickenson to all the winners.
