BOWDEN Derra Park, Polyphant, which provides accommodation and care to adults who may have mental health needs, learning or physical disabilities, has been given an overall rating of good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Port Isaac’s GP practice and Bradworthy Surgery have also received an overall rating of good from the (CQC).

Under CQC’s new programme of inspections, all of England’s adult social care services, regulated by CQC, and all of the country’s GP practices are being given a rating according to whether they are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.

After the latest CQC inspections, Professor Steve Field, chief inspector of General Practice, said: “After more than 3,000 inspections we have found that most care is good.”
