LIFTON Art Group has expressed its delight at the number of visitors to its exhibition, held on August 28 and 29.
Once again the work has covered not only different mediums and subjects but also a broad range of styles.
A spokesperson for the group said: “We have been delighted with the number of visitors to our exhibition and every year this increases and the fact they are so complimentary inspires us to improve even more.
“We have included work completed at our varying workshops with visiting tutors, as well as work from our in-group challenges, this past year these have included a sunflower, a self-portrait and shadows. All our ‘challenges’ have to be completed within a three-hour time-frame. An added bonus for us all has been the participation of the members who joined following last year’s exhibition and who have not only included some stunning work but helped with the event. Plus we have already received interest from a number of people wishing to join us.
“Despite the hectic nature of setting up the exhibition for such a short time we gain so much from seeing each other’s completed works and chatting with the many visitors and the tea, coffee and cake always goes down well too!”
