THE 112th annual Liskeard Show opens its gates at the Merrymeet showground tomorrow from 8am.
The organisers are pleased with the weather forecast which says it will be dry with some sunny spells.
New show secretary Beckie Breyley said: 'It's not going to be hot enough for the beaches to be in competition, and it will be a comfortable temperature for all the animals and visitors.
'All the marquees and trade stands are fully booked and animal entries are up.'
Regarding the confirmed outbreak on Bodmin Moor of 'strangles', a highly-contagious disease affecting equines, show chairman Gerry Masters said in a statement: 'The show has taken professional advice due to the outbreak of the equine infection, strangles, in the local area.
'We will be continuing with the horse classes as normal as we expect our responsible horse owners to take the necessary precautions.'
