PROVIDING those who feel isolated with a bit of companionship, the Woolsery Community Centre will host a range of monthly activities organised by the Supported Rural Independent Living Project (SRIL).

On the first Monday of every month in the Woolsery Community Centre from 2pm until 4pm SRIL holds a ‘Good Companions’ session, which provides homemade cakes, biscuits, tea and coffee, along with activities and crafts.

On December 5, there will be a ‘Bring and Share’ Christmas tea, with sweet or savoury dishes on offer. Those who attend are asked to bring a present that has a maximum value of £2 to add to ‘Santa’s Sack’.

These will then be distributed to members who can all have fun opening a present whilst enjoying some Christmas carols.

Admission cost £2 each month and transport is available for those who need it from Belinda Shackson, who can be contacted on 01237 431167, or Margo Allison on 01237 431083.
