A VOLUNTEER has been recognised for completing 100 hours of community work in 12 months.

Faye Sleeman, 16, from Polyphant, has had a busy year helping with projects in the community, doing so alongside her studies at Launceston College. She has helped the Lions Club with Foobank collections, provided assistance for the Friday Lunch Club, the Elite Dance Club at Launceston College and delivered the newsletter in her village.

Faye was recognised for completing the voluntary work by Launceston Lions. As a result she was presented with a Young Leaders in Service Gold Seal Award from Lions Clubs International, at a special assembly at Launceston College.
