A COUPLE celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a donation to the Children’s Hospice South West.
Jen and Den Balsdon celebrated their golden wedding at Trencreek Farm, Wainhouse Corner on October 31.
The couple asked for donations in lieu of presents and are pictured presenting a cheque for £300 to Children’s Hospice South West representative Eileen Rendle at the Wyvern guest house in Bude on Monday, December 7.
The couple married at Bush on October 30, 1965. During their working lives, Den was a motor mechanic and Jen (née Wonnacott) worked in the post office and was also a civil servant.
