STRATTON Community Hospital re-opened to patients this week as part of a phased opening following extensive refurbishment and rebuilding works — thanks to an extraordinary fund-raising campaign.

The campaign was run by the League of Friends of Stratton Hospital, with strong backing from the people of the area.

Patients will now have access to improved out-patient, X-ray, minor injuries Unit (MIU) facilities as well as a new in-patient ward.
