CORES of motorbikes took part in the annual Moorlanders Egg Run on Easter Sunday.

The Moorlanders and Widows Sons MBA South West Chapter holds probably the largest and most established Easter egg run event in Cornwall.

Started in 1997, the purpose of the event is to distribute Easter eggs to people in special needs care in the local community, and to raise much needed funds for children’s charities through contributions by each rider taking part.

The route started at Davidstow airfield, before going through Camelford, then onto Delabole and a tour of the north Cornish coast before making their way back to Bowden Derra care home at Polyphant, where refreshments and burgers were served.

This year over 1,000 motorcyclists took part, watched by hundreds of supporters.

There were 260 Easter eggs collected and £4,540 raised.
