TWO girl guide leaders are fundraising to join over 40,000 scouts and guides from around the world at a Japanese jamboree. St Breward Gudes unit leader Kasey Metters, from Camelford and St Breward Guides young leader Bobbie Dangar, from Bodmin hope to attend the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Kirara-hama from July 28 to August 8 next year. Kasey and Bobbie have been selected from hundreds of Guides in the South West region. Bobbie helped to organise the latest fund raising event and said: "Kasey Metters and I would like to thank everyone who attended our fundraising coffee morning in the Band Room in St Breward on August 23. After expenses we raised with your generosity a grand total of £340.90." For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
