THE Gig in the Garden, an event held jointly by St Kew Inn and North Cornwall’s radio station NCB Radio has confirmed the donations made after last year’s successful event.
Gig in the Garden was proud to have been instrumental in raising the final sum of £1,000 needed to install a FLEET (Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust) defibrillator at St Kew which is now in place and operational.
In addition, the event was able to support St Kew Playing Field Trust with a donation of £1,000, St Kew and Port Isaac Schools with donations of £500 each and St Kew Pre-School and Port Isaac Playgroup £250 each.
In addition, funds raised were sufficient to pay the first year’s running cost for the defibrillator and to help NCB Radio with a donation of £200.
Sarah Allen of St Kew Inn said: “We are really grateful to all those who came along to the event and enabled us to support some great local organisations.
“Many thanks also to all who helped to organise the event both before and on the day.”
