SUNDAY morning saw the final preparations put in place for the big Christmas switch-on in St Teath this coming Saturday, December 1.
The road through the village will be closed from 4pm until 8pm where from 5pm the Christmas market will take over the square. The Wadebridge Town Band will be playing carols from 5pm, along with the St Teath Choir.
Father Christmas will also be in attendance in his grotto at the Vicarage Gardens, which this year have been organised by St Teath Primary School.
The grand switch-on will take place at 6pm in the village square and Marion Mewton will be doing the honours!
The Christmas tree was donated by a village resident who wishes to remain anonymous. The lighting committee has also introduced some new lights this year to add to its display, and they are all looking forward to see the village lit up for 2018.
