AN array of awards were made prior to shutdown for summer camp at the Holsworthy detachment of the Army Cadet Force (ACF).
Basic training badges were collected by Aaron Squirrell and William Girdler. LCpls Rae Weblin and Malachi Challis received ACF STEM certificates and badges.
Cpls Lydia Girdler and Alisha Squirrell were awarded JCIC badges after completing an instructional course allowing them to teach junior cadets. Alisha also received her ACF BTEC diploma in music and team building through the Devon ACF Corps of Drums.
Mayor’s Cadet Serjeant Kaya Kirby was presented with her SCIC badge qualifying her to teach senior cadet subjects. Holsworthy ACF are back on parade Monday, September 6, at Holsworthy Youth Centre from 6.30pm to 9.30pm and offer a free four-week trial to young people from 12 years of age who are interested in finding a new and interesting hobby with opportunities for self development fun and friendship.
