THE mayor of Camelford has set her autumn challenge for the community.
Cllr Kirsty Ferguson set her autumn challenge towards the end of August, following the success and excitement surrounding the summer challenge, which saw a huge number of entries for the sunflower growing competition.
With the ‘C’ word gradually creeping upon us, Cllr Ferguson is looking for someone to design the mayor’s Christmas card for 2018.
Cllr Ferguson said she prefers the traditional sort of Christmas card, to be personally written and sent.
She has organised four age categories for the challenge, which must be written on the back of each entry. Categories include ages three to six, seven to eleven, 12 to 17 and 18 and over.
The design of the card must fit on an A5 card, which can be landscape or portrait; the entrant must be a resident living in the Camelford parish; the entry should be imaginative and colourful; and the design must including something iconic of Camelford in it.
To enter, hand your design in with the name, age category, address and contact number to Camelford Library no later than 4pm on Thursday, October 18.
Each age category will have a winner, and the winning designs will be printed and sent out for the festive season.
