GERALD Parsons was the Captain of Cornwall County Cricket Club 41 years ago, 1970-71-72.

He is now 77 years old and he is unique.

Gerald has played for both Devon and Cornwall in the Minor Counties and also for both counties in the National Over 50s Competition.

He played for Cornwall in the Minor Counties from 1966-1973 as an opening batsman.

1970 was a vintage year for Cornwall as he was captain and he topped the County Batting Averages with 30.13 runs per innings.
