THE Laneast Church window fund continues to build momentum with an upcoming quilt raffle.

The Friends of Laneast Church are holding the Laneast carol service on Tuesday, December 15, starting at 6.45pm. The quilt raffle draw will take place just before the service at 7pm.

Over the last month tickets have been sold to help raise more money to go towards the church’s window fund. The sales from raffle tickets will be combined with the money raised from previous events such as the ‘Craft and Gift’ event and the sale of ‘A Pane in the Glass’ ale, brewed by Penpont Brewery.

As part of the carol service the Friends of Laneast Church will also be offering a free community Christmas bites and drinks get together as a ‘thank you’ to all who have supported the church and its fundraising efforts towards the goal of raising £76,000 to repair the church’s late 15th century stained glass window.
