IT WAS?a nervous wait for Launceston College students to collect their GCSE results and once the envelopes had been picked up, some opted to wait even longer for friends to arrive and find out their achievements together. Launceston College said this year's results were 'excellent', with 58% achieving five or more GCSEs at A* to C including English and maths. Top grades were achieved by James Bate and Sophie Williams, who both gained 10 A*s and one A and Karis Winning, Luke Maguire and Miriam Christine all achieved 11 A* or A grades.
