HOLSWORTHY Hamlets Flower Club members celebrated their 30th anniversary by holding a lunch at the Rydon Inn, recently. They were joined by Chairman of Devon & Cornwall area of the (NAFAS) Linda McGannity, who presented Mrs Christine Vanstone with an award making her a life member of the club to thank her for her involvement as treasurer for the majority of the club's 30 years. The club was the brainchild of Pat Dennis, who encouraged a group to meet at Chilsworthy Village Hall and then to become affiliated to NAFAS. The original committee included Pat Dennis, Jean Bowles, Christine Vanstone, Jean Wonnacott, Shirley Ford, Ruth Chubb, Gwen Gliddon, Margaret Maguire and Pat Sloman.
