THE team behind Lifton Community Hall continues to source grants and more funding for the project.
Planning permission for the a multi-functional hall, which could be used by all ages in Lifton, was granted last year, and £50,000 has already been raised. The need for the centre was decided in 1994 following a parish appraisal.
The hall will encompass space for sports, education and learning, meeting rooms, a creche, outside area, storage, a cafe and more.
Plans for the hall have continuously been discussed with parishioners over the years.
The team has recently completed a big lottery application and regularly hold various events. The project has received support from the local community, councils and governing bodies.
