A FAMILY, which has good cause to be grateful for the services of the Devon Air Ambulance, presented a cheque to the charity last week.

Ashley Campbell’s daughter Summer was taken ill on November 13 while attending the health centre in Holsworthy. The ambulance was called, and it was decided to request the air ambulance. Summer was airlifted to the RD&E Hospital.

Ashley stated that the family had used the air ambulance several times over the past couple of years and as a thank you decided to hold a raffle to raise money for the service. Several outlets in the town donated prizes for the event held at Holsworthy Golf Club on December 4. It raised £520.
