THE ARB Poppy Class at Bude Primary School has been named as one of the beneficiaries of the latest round of the Co-op Local Community Fund.
The class hopes any funding raised through the scheme will support them in developing their outdoor learning area.
Bruce Paton, ARB manager and teacher of Poppy Class at Bude Primary Academy, told the Post: “We’re delighted that Poppy Class, has been chosen to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
“As you can imagine, the last 18 months have been really challenging for small groups like ours. The pandemic has drastically affected our fundraising efforts, so we’re grateful to have this partnership with the local Co-op.
“We’re urging local members to choose us as their cause so we can deliver our project and help more children and young people with complex additional needs and their families in the North Cornwall and Devon area.
“We’re raising funds to develop our class outdoor learning area.
“When members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 1p from every pound spent goes to support local causes like ours.”
Mr Paton added: “We really hope that people will visit the Co-op website or download the Co-op app and select us as their Local Community Fund cause so we can continue making a difference.”
