Span Arts was recently awarded a small grant from the People's Postcode Trust to buy equipment which will be used to help deliver arts projects in rural areas of Pembrokeshire.
The equipment, which includes staging, lighting and sound equipment, will also be available to smaller organisations on an affordable community hire scheme.
The aim is also to put on arts activities such as music and theatre events, and workshops into small rural venues that are either not typically used for events, or into community halls that don't have their own equipment.
The equipment will support Span Arts' mission to bring the 'Arts for Everyone' and reduce rural isolation by bringing people together in social and arts activities.
Gwen Watson, Span Arts manager, is excited about the new purchases.
"This is really great for us and a whole range of smaller organisations," she said.
"We hope that being able to put on events in smaller venues will have a really positive effect on our local communities; and the community hire scheme will allow other community groups and venues to deliver their own positive benefits too."
This grant has come about at the launch of a new three-year intergenerational project which will see social and arts activities delivered in rural areas around Pembrokeshire, including the Maenclochog and Clarbeston Road areas.
