THE Holsworthy detachment of Devon Army Cadet Force (ACF) is asking shoppers to support this Co-op funding bid during 2019.

The detachment was successful in it’s bud for support from Co-op and is planning to use any funds gained to purchase training kit to benefit its young people.

Detachment commander Lt Jim Harvey said: “We are looking to improve our capability to deliver First Aid and expedition training.

“First Aid is an important skill for young people to have and along with expedition training, which promotes self-dependence resilience and planning skills, can be used to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award which is recognised by employers.

“So potentially our young people can gain two certificates with real life value.”

Shoppers can donate when making purchases at local Co-op branches and the detachment will receive the donation in November.
