A FUN Tournament was held at Launceston Tennis Club on Sunday October 9 when players were asked to come along dressed as a famous tennis player. There were "champions" from different eras. "Little Mo" Connolly (Maureen McCann) came from the 1950s, Bjorn Borg (Chris Stanbury) from the 1970s and Boris Becker (Mark Cox) from the 1980s. The 1930s British Wimbledon champion, Fred Perry, came in two forms, female and male (Jenny Worth and Martin Cooke)! Some participants gave excuses, such as the chilly weather, for not appearing in costume! The overall winner of the tournament was Graham Worth.
