HOLSWORTHY and District Lions held a children's Christmas party on December 15. More than 100 youngsters attended the event in the town's Memorial Hall, accompanied by over 50 parents and carers.

As well as traditional party games, there was a disco provided by Lions member Andy King, and a magic show performed by children's entertainer 'Merlin' whose tricks included balancing a pushchair on his chin. The most magical thing of all, was a visit from Father Christmas so all the children went home with a present.
