BUDE'S biggest annual fundraising event for the RNLI, Bude Lifeboat Day, took place on Bank Holiday Monday and was 'very successful' despite the inclement weather. There was a range of events and activities for all ages, including rowing races, capsize drills and live music on the Bark House Green stage. There were also demonstrations by Bude Inshore Lifeboat and the search and rescue helicopter from Chivenor, which were 'particularly appreciated by the crowds'.
