THANKS have been expressed to all and their dogs who came along and supported the Labrador Rescue Trust Fun Dog Show at Stoke Climsland on Sunday, June 3, which was a great day.

They raised nearly £1,400, a wonderful result that will go towards rehoming rescue Labradors in Cornwall.

Special thanks go to Shona Moon for judging and Stoke Climsland Sports and Social Club for the use of their grounds, Sandy Palmer and her helpers for refreshments and finally, Martin and Tracey Haimes of Tamar View Pet Shop for the prizes.

Winners: Best under 18 months — Nikki Harvey and Ralph the Spanish Breton; Best young handler under 14 — Emily Connell and Fly the collie; Musical sit — Claire Barriball and Levi, the Sprocker x collie; Best little dog — Laura Ratcliff and Sophia the Cocker Spaniel; Best biscuit catcher — Ray Luckhurst with Henry the Lab x Staff and Zoe Craven with Roxy the Boxer.

Pair of dogs — Kim Sudell with Bella the Labrador and Lewis Elliott with Rosie the Lurcher; Waggiest tail — Kaja Cohen-Skews and Winnie the Springer Spaniel.

Best rescue/rehomed — Grace/Amanda Page and EEP, Noodle, Paisley, Botswana dogs; Dog most like its owner — Freya Morton with Barney the Jack Russell.

Fastest Bonio eater — Martin Quinn and Ben the LRT Labrador; Best veteran over eight years — Jan Sainsbury and Jake the Labrador; Most appealing eye — William, Elsey, Aggy, Couldrick and Darcy Fewell with Jess; Dog the judge would like to take home — Nikki Harvey’s Ralph.

Best non Labrador — Linda Lee with Defer the GSD x Husky x Malamute; Best Labrador — Isabel Bevan with Bo.

Best in show — Nikki Harvey and Ralph; Reserve — Emily Connell and Fly.

Cups were awarded for best rescue or rehomed, best veteran, best Labrador and best in show.
