ONE-HUNDRED youngsters who are learning the skills necessary to become lifeguards enjoyed a fun day at Harlyn Beach, Padstow, on Sunday, September 22.

As well as the local Harlyn Surf Life Saving Club nippers club members, youngsters, aged between eight and 13, from Polzeath, Crackington Haven and Trebarwith took part in the event, which ended in a friendly tug-of-war contest.
