Some 350 disabled people, with 150 carers, from Somerset, Devon and Cornwall came to Holsworthy on Sunday November 22 from as far away as Weston-super-Mare, Bodmin and Newquay to a 'Fun Day' specially organised for them by 15 southwest area Lions Clubs. The event took place on the Manor car park and in the Memorial Hall where Lions Club members, their wives and partners as well as the Mayor, the Portreeve and the Town Crier were there to welcome them and ensure they had an enjoyable time.
