THERE was an All Hallows Eve gathering of ancient folk traditions and dance at Boscastle.
There was ‘edgy’ Morris dancing, and as the sun went down an impromptu fire dance.
At dusk the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic had some very unusual visitors — the famous Mari Lwyds from Wales and Penkevyll the Lands End Obby Oss — who performed the ancient ‘Pwnco Ceremony’.
After dark they visited the local hostelries to bless the premises, and finished with an evening of live music, song, dance and story telling at the Wellington Hotel.
Judith Hewitt, museum manager, said: “We are going to do it again next year on Saturday, October 29.”
