On December 22, Eileen Rendle from the Bude Friends Group for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), was invited by the Bullied Way Residents’ Association to come and receive a cheque from their coffee morning held at their centre on November 7.

The treasurer Vanessa Parkinson, presented Eileen with a cheque for £100, which was the proceeds from the coffee morning, plus a donation.

CHSW has three hospices across the South West; Little Harbour in Cornwall, Little Bridge House in Devon and Charlton Farm near Bristol.

The charity helps to support children and their families who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions by providing specialist palliative care, respite stays for the whole family, a sibling service for brothers and sisters, emergency support, end of life care and a bereavement service for as long as is needed.

Eileen expressed her thanks to all those members present, for their dedication in fundraising for such a worthy charity.
